Çankaya Fitness Club — O'Wellness Beytepe
A strength, cardio and functional training area at Yaka Beytepe; a measurement-based programme, certified trainer support and access seven days a week.
Not a gym, a programme is what you join.
O'Wellness Beytepe is a boutique wellness club in Çankaya, Ankara, located in the Yaka Beytepe complex on Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Boulevard. Our fitness area is not planned as a classic gym with rows of individual machines; strength, cardio, functional and athletic performance as four separate training zones. Every member goes through a free assessment session when starting their membership, and their weekly programme is built from these measurements.
On this page you will find everything you may want to know in your search for a fitness club in Çankaya: equipment and areas, how to get started, sample weekly programmes by level, group classes and combining them with reformer pilates, personal training options, recovery facilities and membership structure.
Fitness area: four zones, one programme
1. Strength zone
The free-weight area is equipped with an Olympic bar and plates, a dumbbell set, kettlebells, squat racks, bench stations and cable machines. There is space suited to work inside the rack and safety bars so you can perform compound movements (squat, hinge, push, pull) safely. Machine variations of the same movement patterns are also available for beginners.
2. Cardio zone
Treadmill, elliptical, upright and recumbent bikes, rowing ergometer (rower), ski erg and stair climber. Its spacious and bright layout reduces "boredom", the point where long cardio sessions are most difficult.
3. Functional area
Sled, battle rope, plyo box, medicine ball, TRX suspension system, exercise balls and free movement space. Work aimed at improving everyday movement patterns (carrying, pushing, pulling, jumping) is done here; O'Hiit and Master Fit classes also use this area.
4. Athletic performance
Speed, agility and explosive power work is carried out in the functional area through one-to-one athletic performance programmes. For our athlete members and those with performance goals, testing, measurement and periodised programming are planned with a trainer.
How to get started: a four-step process
- Free facility tour and trial day. You walk around the areas, join a group class and see the trainers' approach.
- Assessment session. Body composition analysis (fat percentage, muscle mass, regional distribution), movement screening, past injuries and health declaration, goal discussion.
- Programme setup. Strength, cardio and class distribution is planned according to how many days a week you can commit, your goal and your movement quality.
- Follow-up and revision. Measurements are repeated every four weeks, and loads and volume are updated accordingly.
This process is included in your membership; there is no additional charge. If you prefer one-to-one work, you can continue with personal training packages.
Sample weekly programmes by level
The tables below are a starting point; the exact programme is personalised after the assessment.
| Level | Days per week | Sample split | Goal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner | 3 | 2 strength (full body) + 1 mat pilates | Technique, habit, movement quality |
| Intermediate | 4 | 2 strength (upper/lower) + 1 cycle + 1 reformer | Muscle mass, conditioning, posture |
| Advanced | 5 | 3 strength + 1 HIIT + 1 recovery | Performance, body composition |
We have explained the principles of strength training and a 12-week starter plan in detail in our strength training guide .
Combining with group classes
A fitness membership includes all group classes offered seven days a week. For members who find it hard to lift weights on their own, classes give the programme both consistency and a social framework. The most common combinations:
- Weight management: 2 strength days + O'Ride Cycle + Tabata
- Toning and posture: 2 strength days + Barre + Reformer Pilates
- Conditioning: 2 strength days + Master Of Cycle + O'Row
- Flexibility and recovery: 3 strength days + Mobility & Stretching
For current times, see the weekly schedule page.
Personal training and expert support
For those who want to work one-to-one, 50-minute sessions are offered with our certified trainers. The three situations where PT makes the biggest difference: complete beginners (technique settles in the first 8 weeks), those who have hit a plateau (the programme and loading change) and those with special health conditions (lower back/knee issues, post-surgery period). Because there is a sports physiotherapist and dietitian under the same roof, training, rehabilitation and nutrition are coordinated in a single calendar.
After training: spa, sauna and recovery
Light mobility and stretching the day after heavy strength sessions support active recovery; Mobility & Stretching and Deep Stretch Yoga classes are ideal for this, and our sports physiotherapist can help when needed. We cover why recovery matters as much as training in our recovery guide .
Who is it suitable for?
- Professionals working along the Eskişehir road, Çayyolu and Ümitköy line who want to train before or after work
- People living in Beytepe, Çayyolu, Ümitköy, İncek, Bilkent and Konutkent who are looking for a boutique, uncrowded club
- Beginners with no previous gym experience who expect guidance and a programme
- Those with concrete goals such as weight management, muscle mass or posture correction
- Those who want spa, sauna and padel within the same complex
- People over 40 who take muscle loss and bone density seriously
If you have a chronic condition, cardiovascular disease or a recent surgery, consult your physician before starting training; share this information with your trainer during the assessment session.

I've never exercised; how should I start at a fitness club?
Every guest starting a membership goes through a free assessment session: a body composition analysis, movement screening and goal discussion are carried out. Your trainer then builds a programme based on how many days a week you can commit. The first four weeks focus on technique and habit; you do not start with heavy loads.
Are group classes included in the fitness membership?
Yes. All group classes offered seven days a week are included in all membership categories. Because reformer pilates classes have limited capacity, they are offered with a weekly quota in the Fitness + Reformer and Full Access packages. Current times are on the weekly schedule page.
What time does the gym open and close?
We are open weekdays 06:00–23:00 and weekends 08:00–23:00. The 06:00 morning opening is designed for members who want to train before work. Changed hours on public holidays are announced at reception and on our social media accounts.
Do I have to take personal training?
No. The free assessment and programme setup are included in your membership; our trainers on the gym floor are always there to help. If you prefer one-to-one work, 50-minute personal training sessions can be purchased in packages.
Is there a separate area for women?
Our fitness area is shared. Reformer pilates, barre, yoga and mat pilates classes, which are very popular with our female members, are held in separate studios with small groups. For one-to-one work, you can tell our team your preference for a female trainer.
How much does membership cost?
Prices vary by the category you choose (Fitness, Fitness + Reformer, Full Access) and the term (monthly, 3-month, 6-month, annual). We share your personalised offer enquiry form after you fill it in; if you prefer, you can also discuss it by visiting the facility.
