Hammock Yoga
A modern style of yoga performed with a fabric hammock hanging from the ceiling, which makes inversions easier and relaxes the spine.
Hammock Yoga (Aerial Yoga) is a modern style of yoga performed with the help of a soft fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling, making inverted poses safe and accessible. The 55-minute session decompresses the spine with gravity and provides a deep stretch.
The class begins with building trust in the hammock and basic holds, and continues with supported standing poses, hip openers, inversions and core work, ending with savasana in the hammock. A near-the-floor alternative is offered for every pose.
Hammock Yoga offers unique relief for members who experience spinal compression and back pain, while also developing balance and core strength in a playful way.
