Pilates
O'Wellness Pilates classes improve posture, strengthen the core and increase flexibility through different formats such as reformer, mat and chair. Working with controlled flow and correct breathing, they raise body awareness and give you a more balanced, stronger feeling.
Our Pilates class is a 50-minute holistic body-awareness class that combines mat, reformer and chair formats and is based on Joseph Pilates’ six core principles (centring, concentration, control, precision, breath, flow).
The class begins with breath and spinal alignment, continues with core activation, spinal articulation and hip and shoulder stability work, and finishes with stretching. Equipment use is determined by the instructor according to the session and the participant’s level.
Pilates builds a safe foundation of strength and movement quality for both beginners and advanced athletes; it should be the first choice for our members with postural problems and back pain.
